Legends II: A Halloween Tale Picks Up Where H20 Left Off

Did you ever wonder what happened after Halloween: H20 left off? No? Well, some people did. And the good folks at Godbout Entertainment have answered the question with Legends II: A Halloween Tale. The story picks up ten years after that particular Halloween film leaves off, and it takes an angle you certainly wouldn't expect.
Legends 2 assumes that everything we saw in the Halloween series was true, and then Hollywood took the story and turned it into one of the most successful horror franchises of all time. Really? Someone do something slimy like that in Hollywood? Never!
The film stars AJ Jones, Alexia Maria Orihuela, Anthony Cosmano, Andrew Niemann, Michael Santi, Fran Rafferty, Cooper Zachery, Jeffery Vazquez, Karla Dieseldorff, Sarieha Alsawaf, Katrice Gallaway, Jennifer Ayala as Laurie and Ralph Lugo as The Shape. Gerald J. Godbout III wrote and directed. Check out the trailer below and cruise over to the Legends II: A Halloween Tale Facebook page and the official Legends II: A Halloween Tale websitef or more info.

From the Press Release
Godbout Entertainment is proud to announce the release of its latest production a tribute film to Halloween called Legends II: A Halloween Tale.
The film picks up ten years after the events depicted in Dimension Films' Halloween: H20. But there is a twist: Legends 2 conceives that the events in past Halloween films happened in reality and then Hollywood turned them into films. "Telling the story this way lets us keep the events of the films as canon but allows Legends 2 to have its own path," said writer/director Gerald J. Godbout III. "It was a labor of love and craziness as we shot part of this film in North Carolina - driving ten hours to the replica house from the first Halloween film that Kenny Caperton, a fan of the franchise and overall great guy, had built."
Legends II: A Halloween Tale will bring to close a chapter of the Halloween franchise that was started by John Carpenter in 1978, something that was abandoned when Hollywood remade the original film in 2007.

Killcam Live to be First Interactive Social Networking Film

Okay now, this is a good idea. All of us have sat in front of a movie and just hung our heads at the direction it took. Either some of the characters were too dopey or the story dragged, but we've all wished for an opportunity to grab a movie halfway through viewing it and change the outcome. Well, gorehounds, Killcam Live is going to give you that chance this Halloween.
Starting on October 31st viewers can go to KillcamLive.com and see the first video clips when they are uploaded. From there the audience will be able to interact with the characters from the film via Facebook and Twitter (@Killcam_Live). And according to filmmakers, the feedback from the audience will affect how the film plays out. Killcam Live will be released online in segments over the course of eight weeks.
If you want to see a little more, scroll down to the teaser trailer below. The countdown has already started on KillcamLive.com, and I've gotta tell you, nothing is more titillating than a countdown. What happens at 00:00? Murder? Mayhem? Chris Jericho arriving in a shower of pyrotechnics as Y2J? You can probably count on two out of three of those. Stay tuned!

From the Press Release
Up-and-coming director John Darko has been directing a unique new social horror project entitled Killcam Live that features an interactive website and more. The film will follow a group of college students as they willingly participate in an experiment to study the effects of communicating solely through social media.
Inspired by the success of Paranormal Activity, this microbudget horror aims to be the ultimate in trans-media/interactive entertainment. On October 31st they'll follow a group of college students participating in an experiment to study communicating solely through social media and the latest in technological advances. Until something goes wrong…and then it really gets interesting. It's described as a bit of the original Scream franchise with a bit of Paranormal Activity. Darko says that they "want the audience to leave with an unsettling feeling, questioning the authenticity of what just transpired through our live premieres."
Killcam Live will be the first of its kind, intertwining a full social media experience with live (real time) interaction with aspects of the story and characters, creating a cross-platform patchwork narrative. Darko and his production company are working with Ustream for their videos and broadcasts. A countdown has started on the film's website.
Insidious' David M. Brewer is on camera, and the film is produced by April Wade, Darko and Jeff Kalligheri (The Stare).

Synopsis
A film crew from China is tasked to shoot exotic flora and fauna of the world’s mysterious 3rd largest island, Borneo. Historical treasures and hundred-year-old human skulls still hang in the almost untouched equatorial virgin rainforest's native homes in this notorious tribal land of the head-hunters.
Locals known for their supernatural prowess, bravery and fighting abilities to survive had been at uncountable wars, ending always with enemy skulls brought back home as trophies. The head-hunters live by the hundreds under one common roof. They wear exquisite tribal tattoos over their bodies and intricate woven cloth, and they produce practical tools and arts dedicated to nature. But most of all, they craft the sacred and ferocious blades meant for ending their enemies lives and, without hesitation, separating skulls from the bodies.
The journey began happily on Borneo Island; little did they expect that some would find love, passion and laughter while almost all will taste the stealthy killing power of the warriors' enchanted blade around their necks.
